Language Market (“LML”) is a UK-based language and advisory services business.

Founded in 1992 with over 1,000 clients, both in the UK and internationally, we have been a pioneer within the industry.

 

Our objectives: 

  • To provide value for our owner(s)/ shareholder(s)

  • To act as a resource for clients in the United Kingdom or elsewhere whose interest is the high professional standards of communication and understanding

  • To ensure the interests of our stakeholders are taken into account during the conduct of business by us

 

   2. What type of information is collected from you?

 

   The personal information we may collect includes, where applicable:

  • information regarding what website pages are accessed and when

LML processes your data when it is in our legitimate interests to do this and when these interests do not override your rights or we have consent to do so.

LML protects the privacy of your information using secure servers and locked cabinets within a secure office and can only be accessed by authorised personnel. Your data will all be stored within England.

  • The right of access (Right to request the data we hold)

The General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) grants you the right to a copy of any data concerning you that has been processed by us. This is referred to as a Subject Access Request. We will respond promptly and certainly within the one-month time frame laid down by the GDPR from the point of receiving the request and all the necessary information from you. The first request will be dealt with free of charge to yourself.

  • The right to rectification

Individuals are entitled to have personal data rectified if it is inaccurate or incomplete. We will respond to requests for rectification within one month of receipt of the request.

The accuracy of your information is important to us. We’re working on ways to make it easier for you to review and correct the information that we hold about you. In the meantime, if you change email address, or any of the other information we hold is inaccurate or out of date, please contact us.
